ABOUT ME

Tyler Franch

I am an innovative, creative, and highly analytical senior executive with a unique blend of expertise in both retail and media, I have a passion for developing talent and fostering strong leadership within teams. With an extensive background in both luxury and mass markets, I possess refined negotiation skills and am known for my ability to build successful growth strategies while nurturing key relationships.

As a retail and brand consultant for companies such as Mango, NIKE, Canada Goose, ASOS and Roots, I have a proven track record of driving business and overachieving both financial and creative goals.

In my previous role as Vice President, DMM & Fashion Director at Hudson’s Bay Company for nearly a decade, I lead cross-functional strategies to inform buying and trend direction, creative content creation, and merchandising. I am a key stakeholder in driving strategic partnerships, collaborations, private brand development and brand marketing. A number of my achievements include a reimagined brand matrix for both the core and luxury customer, the launch of both national and private exclusive brands, and the launch of vendor media through OMNI pop-ups and exclusive product offerings. I have a keen interest in championing emerging talent and driving DEI through the launch of Hudson Bay’s very first fashion fund as well as leading the charge in being the largest retailer in Canada to sign the 15% pledge. I have an appetite for serving up data-driven fashion while continuing to surprise and delight the customer through trends, new brands and category-focused storytelling. I have a solution-based mindset and am always willing and eager to not only think outside the box but to be first to market with unprecedented ideas. As the voice of fashion and representative for Hudson’s Bay, I travelled to world markets, represented at all fashion events, led media partnerships, created content as the fashion authority across all owned media and continue to sit on various boards as an advisor to young talent.

Prior to this role, I held senior positions in Canadian media as fashion editor and director for FLARE and Chatelaine magazine where I gained valuable experience in creative production, celebrity and styling high-profile editorials. In addition to my corporate roles, I am an on-air fashion and style expert for various media outlets, including Citytv’s Cityline, Breakfast Television, and Entertainment Tonight Canada. I have also worked as a stylist for international brands such as British Vogue, Paper Magazine, and Elle magazine.

With a diverse and accomplished background, I bring a wealth of experience and a strong track record of success in the fashion industry. I am dedicated to driving innovation, fostering mentorship, and continuing to make a meaningful impact.
